Our history

2026
Cloudpilot is born out of the need to bring solutions like Xelon HQ to broader markets.
Xelon HQ will evolve into Cloudpilot, responding to the growing demand for cloud orchestration across the European landscape. 
2025
 Leadership change: new CEO
Founder Michael Dudli appoints Swiss Cloud expert Roman Schweizer as CEO to lead Xelon’s next growth phase. Michael Dudli will focus more intensively on further developing our Cloud management platform.

Split into two Business Units to increase efficiency

Under the leadership of Ueli Schwegler as Director, the Cloud Infrastructure Unit will continue to focus on the core business of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), i.e. the provision of cloud infrastructures.
Under the leadership of Michael Dudli, the Cloud Platform Unit focuses on the further development of our cloud management platform, which enables IT teams to transform their server infrastructure into tailor-made hybrid clouds.

Strong growth thanks to hybrid cloud approach
The name Xelon stands for cloud innovation: renowned companies approach us to tackle their hybrid cloud challenges. 
2021
New offices in Zug, Switzerland
We move into a new office in the heart of the city of Zug, getting ready for further growth.
2020
Awarded ISO 27001 for cyber security and ISO 9001 for quality management.
2019
Launch of Xelon HQ
Introduction of our in-house orchestration platform, Xelon HQ, alongside the official transition from Xelon Hosting GmbH to Xelon AG. 
2016
Xelon Hosting GmbH is officially born

Xelon Hosting Solutions became Xelon Hosting GmbH, bringing to life the company’s official founding and laying the groundwork for what would evolve into Xelon Cloud.

First Public Cloud goes live!
After a six-month evaluation phase, our first cloud platform goes online and sets the foundation for many virtualization projects.
2013
Xelon Hosting Solutions moves to the canton of Zug

In 2013, Xelon Hosting Solutions' headquarters were moved to Hunenberg.

2012
The first steps toward Xelon Cloud

Michael Dudi begins exploring dedicated hosting and server housing solutions for B2B, marking the start of the journey that would eventually become Xelon Cloud.
